Greetings Fellow Creatives!

Wow - It’s been a minute; I’m always excited to be here on this awesome platform. These past 2 years I’ve been focused on my fiction novels and indie book tour. In 2020, I switched gears - so I am also happy to be returning to working on some new screenwriting material: 2 features, 2 scripted TV dramas and a short for kids. I look forward to networking and seeing what you creative ppl are up to as well.

Hey, Micole Williams! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage32. Nice to meet you! Congrats on your fiction novels and return to screenwriting! I have to ask, as someone who used to teach high school, how do you find the time?! LOL! Admittedly, I was teaching TV and Film production, along with Broadcast Journalism, so running a teenage studio might be why I had no time LOL!

Ooo, I have LOTS of family in Houston! Who knew it was such a hub for the industry?!

Since you're getting back into the groove of networking, please enjoy my blog post on how to Explore the Lounges: https://www.stage32.com/blog/5-Ways-to-Explore-and-Network-in-the-Stage-... I definitely think you should start a conversation on the Transmedia Lounge about writing screenplays from your own IP (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/transmedia).

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to meet and mingle!

Nice to meet you Kay! Thanks and appreciate your helpful navigation tips. Definitely will check out those spots! - Yes, teaching truly is a huge undertaking - I always say if you can teach, you can do anything! But yes, I really have to fight to write. As you know, making time is a must, but it’s definitely not easy. I WISH Houston was an industry hub- that would be a perfect world for me. It’s a great city, but not there yet as far as those opportunities, which has always made creative pursuits that more challenging. People have been pushing me to move to LA for my writing since...2001.
