Introduce Yourself : Hello All! by Mike W. Rogers

Mike W. Rogers

Hello All!

Hi everyone, I'm Mike. I have been on the site for a few months now and have collaborated with a few folks but would always love to do some more.

If you have an idea for a Short and want to talk out some concepts and get some scenes written up, feel free to drop me a note! Hope to talk to you soon!

Kathleen Stevens

Hello! I am at present writing a short, entitled, "Diphtheria," about an epidemic which struck a mining town in Alaska in the 1920's. It's concerning a race against time to get treatment to the stricken people before any more lose their lives. Regards, Kathleen.

Mike W. Rogers

Kathleen, love the concept. Very original. If you need any help let me know. I will look into the history today!

Kathleen Stevens

Hi Michael, Thank you so much for your message. I am still looking into the history bit by bit, as it's such a fascination tale of endurance and human spirit! As yet, I don't think there has been a film about this. Kathleen.

Mike W. Rogers

Very cool. Keep it up! If you ever need help with anything just let me know.

Debbie Croysdale

Hi Michael and welcome. Im always interested in collaboration, especially with people with technical skills because I have none. However I would co write/direct for the right project.

Mike W. Rogers

Hey Debbie! Well technically, were screwed but if we can come up with a cool concept we can wing it. What genre are you interested in? Do you have any locations like or have wanted to use?

Debbie Croysdale

Hi Michael just love your expression “We Can Wing It”. Been compiling these super expressions now for a while Stage 32. Another is from our CJ Whaley “Turn and Burn” and our Shawn Speake “Set Goals, Put In Work, Knock Em Down, Rinse and Repeat.” LOL Doubt we screwed if you no tech experience aswell, I do have back up of sponsors occasionally for an outside full technical team, but I much prefer long term passionate about film collaborators. The times an outside tech team were hired, obviously they had no personal interest in the project. Im not saying thats wrong, but the days went by like watching paint dry, because of their lack of passion for the story. I have collaborators (and location permissions Spain), who shoot their own stuff on my equipment, all of whom work or worked for studios. Im meeting some Stage 32 folk Winter/New Year in UK for possible collaborations. If something cool came up over the water, a cheap ticket to the states is not out of the equation! LOL ....WING IT...TURN BURN...RINSE REPEAT!

Mike W. Rogers

Debbie, that's amazing. I am still trying to build such a network but still in it's infancy. If I see any projects with real promise I will drop you a note. Good luck with the meeting in London!

Debbie Croysdale

Thanks! Forgot to mention my favourite genres Noir Vintage/Neo/Modern and Horror, with both also the Thriller element. I much prefer mind play with antagonist and protagonist than quick slasher horror or action gun play. Happy Tuesday!

Mike W. Rogers

I am with you Debbie, can't stand the slashers but am wrapping up a Thriller Feature. Ill let you once it's posted under my Log Lines.
