I'm a screenwriter looking for inspiration and connection with others. I lean towards comedic writing; however, I'm currently working on a social thriller. I've worked as a PA on several projects and love working on set, meeting great people and learning more about the fascinating world of filmmaking. Happy to be here!

Hey, Chelsea Regenold! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. Nice to meet you and welcome! If you're looking for inspiration, have you signed up to participate in the November Write Club? It's free and easy - just comment on this blog with your goals for the month, comment with encouragement from others, and post your progress for accountability: https://www.stage32.com/blog/The-Stage-32-November-Write-Club-is-Back-When-Its-Needed-Most
Have you been back on set yet? I noticed you do PA work, but what's the next step for you? Art Dept., Camera, Lighting, or Sound? I'm sure you've discovered the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), but I'd love for you to post in the Producing Lounge as well! https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing Maybe you could start a post about your favorite moment on set as a PA?
Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:
https://www.stage32.com/blog/Find-Your-Community-on-Stage-32
Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time.
Hi, Kay! Thanks for the information and welcoming message! I will definitely check out the November Write Club and lounges. My main focus is screenwriting, but I'm still trying to figure out my place on set. I like the production side, and will be working as a PC soon. I'm also interested in working as a script supervisor.
I was inspired to join Stage32 after watching an interview with Joseph Downey and hearing his story. I'm looking forward to networking on here and learning from others!

Thanks, Tristan! Suspense is definitely an area in which I need help. I tend to give away too much too soon. I'll be getting to the suspenseful/thriller scenes soon and will absolutely reach out!

A good thriller needs to have several twists in it. Think of it like an onion with several layers. I will definitely help with suspense, there's nothing wrong with holding back information until the very end.

Chelsea Regenold You've found a great group of people here. I joined for the same reason and find that a lot more people are willing to help you when they can count on you as well. I too lean to comedy even though it's sometimes the hardest thing for me to write haha.

Hello fellow comedy writer. I am like you and so far I have written a drama and a thriller. But still...comedy seems to be something I enjoy to write. Hope to connect with you down the road to pick each other's brain and whatnot. Happy Writing.
