Introduce Yourself : Hey there! by Diane Knight

Diane Knight

Hey there!

I have been a member here for a while, but admittedly do not use it effectively, but I am definitely paying more attention and putting more effort into networking these days.   My husband and I are independent filmmakers currently we have 1 feature 'A Landscape of Lies' which has had some success in the smaller film festivals, and is releasing on DVD/VOD this summer after a very limited theatrical release in the UK. We are also in post production on our new film '24 Little Hours' which we are very excited about!

A discredited female detective investigates a convict who goes on a 24 hour killing spree immediately on his release from prison, will she uncover the shocking truth...

(I am still working on the logline etc)

Feel free to take a peek at the website for posters, trailers etc. https://www.londonknightsproductions.co.uk/

I look forward to connecting and getting to know you guys.

Steve Hamm

Hello Diane. Welcome. Your project sounds interesting. Best of luck

Diane Knight

Hi Steve, thank you, Hi Aray, its not so much a who done it, but a WHY did they do it? so without giving away the entire plot, basically our main antagonist is released from prison after 10 years, and goes on a 24 hour killing spree, during his entire killing spree he doesn't say a word. The detectives investigating a day later starts to unravel the evidence and witness statements, but the female detective is determined to figure out why he did it? She thinks there is more to the case than first appears...

Aashay Singh

Hey Diane. Your project sounds very cool. Hope you capture the mood and tension that I'm getting just from the logline. :)

Chad Stroman

Welcome! In an effort to help get those creative juices flowing, I took a stab (pun intended) at your logline.

After being released from prison, a convicted serial killer begins a 24 hour onslaught/trail of carnage while a disgraced female detective assigned to the case looks beyond the basic evidence for the key of what is driving this murderous rampage.

Or flip it.

A disgraced female detetive is assigned to the case of a recently released serial killer who has begun a 24 hour murder spree. As each hour brings new blood, she searches for the key/basis of what is driving/inspiring/pushing the killer's bloodlust.

Actually that second line could probably be excised but...I'm a little bit verbose that way.

Erika Toraya

yes, I like the logline too! I, too, have been on here a long time but haven't used it well. Congratulations on your two films! exciting!

Michael Sandomeno

Diane, glad you're using S32 more. It's a great resource for all your filmmaking needs.

Use the filters and you'll truly see the efficacy of the platform.
