Hi everyone, just wanted to say hello. I'm a published author who writes (mostly) speculative fiction but I also love screeplay writing. You can find all my short stories and novels on ISFDB and also on my Amazon author's page. I'm here because my interest in scriptwriting has overtaken everything else.
I've collaborated on 3 scripts which were optioned, and also placed highlty in competitions. I'm on IMDB which should be updated soon as one of my SF shorts is about to be filmed. I've also co-written a drama which is in pre-production at the moment. Looking to connect with other writers as well as directors and producers.
Also looking to collaborate on projects.
Thanks for reading
James
Hey, James Austin McCormick ! Nice to meet you! I love that you admit your "interest in scriptwriting has overtaken everything else". I totally know the feeling! LOL!
Have you checked out the Screenwriting Lounge? https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting If you're looking for something a little more focused, I highly recommend the Writer's Room: https://www.stage32.com/writersroom Drop Jason Mirch an email for a free month trial: j.mirch@stage32.com
Although, if you want to connect with Directors and Producers, there is a Filmmaker Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing) and a Producing Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing) where you could post your questions.
Ooo, speaking of Filmmaking Lounge, would you be interested in participating in the "Paris, Je T'aime" challenge I posted in the Filmmakers Lounge? It's just a fun way to get to know people through their city (and I love England!):

Enjoy exploring, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too!

Nice to meet you James. I followed the same path starting as a fiction author (still am) and getting addicted to screenwriting. I applaud your success!

Thank you Heidi, you too. Speculative fiction (prose and script writing) have always been my favourite genres.
