I'm a producer that's based in Lesotho, Southern Africa. I recently relocated home to pursue opportuntities and help to get the industry started. Hi Roe.
My background is TV - literally everything from soap, to current affairs to reality, to movies. However, the real need down here to train and empower the next generation. So I shifted what I was doing to include mentoring and training across production. I moved back home from Johannesburg, South Africa because the national broadcaster needed a drastic training intervention. It was supposed to be 6 months, the contract will be extended. It's been a complete overhaul of ALL processes and now I'm lobbying governement (which is a lot easier that your side of the world, here, you just walk into the minister's office) to get all the stakeholders in a room to set up film friendly policies from the top down.
I'm really looking to partner with people who are interested in making a real difference in film, while shooting beautiful movies.
So... when are you boarding a plane ;)
