Introduce Yourself : Let's be brave. by Natacha Astuto

Natacha Astuto

Let's be brave.

My name is Natacha. I live in Switzerland, then my first language is French. Did not want to "introduce myself" because I was so scared to make a mistake, you know this kind of horrible grammatical mistakes... But I finally decided to be brave (2 days late, I know). So. I have been writing plays since 2005. I love to write, I need to write. All my plays have been at least once on stage here. They are dramas, with secrets, bad news, love, conflicts, with however humor; well as far as I can be funny. The last one Le Dernier Train is the more noir of my plays, and my favorite as I like black stories. It ended up finalist of the writemovies contest #31, that encouraged me to translate it (btw if one of you was recently in jail, or close to that, he/she could have mercy on me and have a look to my dialogues and help me about slang). My next goals are: find a professional troupe who would play one of my plays in English and write the movie The Last Train, script which is already on work with my amazing teacher Joey in LA. I really don't know where all of this is going, most of the time I think that will go somewhere close to nowhere. But I don't want to die with regrets. And maybe someone (other than people loving me) will like my work. So, now I am going to click the "Post" button... and immediately think I am insane having done so and freak out. Thank you for your time.

Bravo, Natacha! That wasn't so bad now, was it?! Great to have you here! Keep contributing!

Hi Natacha. Glad you decided to be brave and get out here. I took up creative writing for the same reason as you - I don't want to be old and wondering if I could have really accomplished something like selling a script or a novel. I also favor dark tales, though in the fantasy and sci-fi action genres.

That's a great post and share, Chester. Thank you.

Welcome aboard Natacha, and thank you for being brave. That's what this business is, really; being brave, and then no matter what happens, being brave again.
