Check out this photo. This is a view from an old volcano in northern New Mexico we recently visited. Capulin Volcano National Monument. https://www.nps.gov/cavo/index.htm

It's worth a visit if you're in the area. Don't worry, it's not an active volcano. What's amazing is how green it is here in New Mexico, in June. Rare.
