Introduce Yourself : Screenwriter/Director by Elisabeth Harleman

So I'm taking the plunge again and setting out on my own. For the last 10 years I've been stuck in the corporate video world but my dream is to complete at least one of my documentaries :) . I also really love writing and while I can't say I have any full-length features to my credit...it is so great to hear actors repeating your lines and giving their interpretations. i know I can do a full length feature...writing and directing...any advice on how I can start getting gigs...or is it too little too late?
