WGA writer wants to direct his low-budget, two-location, feature-film script.

I am a decade-long WGA screenwriter. My bio is on my webpage at www.michaeltabbwga.com. A film I wrote for Universal Studios goes into production today in Europe. I'm wishing them a smooth production and hoping for the soul of the script to stay intact. As the writer of a film, I really have no control.

This is why my greatest aspiration is to direct my own script. It's set over Christmas holidays in college. One location is a diner hangout for college kids (for only two scenes as the script's bookends), and the rest of the story is set in a house that the eight college students spend the holidays in together. It's an festival/award-winning screenplay. If someone is trying to fund movies, I'd love to discuss it with you. We've had some fantastic attachments, but each time the money kept falling through the cracks.
