Warm Tidings from Portland, Maine

Hello all!

My name is Ryan Anzaldi! Very new to Stage 32, but I'm excited that there's a social media platform geared towards the entertainment industry!

I'm a screenwriter primarily, or so I've been calling myself for the past year and a half. I've been working very hard, and am planning on relocating to Los Angeles in the immediate future to begin what I hope will be an illustrious career in film and television. When I'm not writing, I'm typically at a different computer either creating music, editing podcasts, or mixing music created by others.

While I've never been a stranger to writing, last year was the first time I sat down and decided to try and write for a living. I've always been a huge film and TV buff, and while I'd written some tiny stage plays in the past, I was excited to sit down and try my hand at a feature. I'm pleased to say my hard work work has earned me a small handful of first drafts! Now it's time to buckle down and edit my favorites before the big move.

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to network and connect with others on this platform! It's always fantastic when artists are given a place to connect with other artists, and this seems like such an active and supportive community! I hope that I'll be a valued addition to this platform, and I'm eager to jump in and see what it's all about!

Hoping today finds you healthy, productive, and comfortable!

Hey, Ryan Anzaldi! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. If you'd like to learn more about myself and the Stage32 Team, we have an intro blog: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Meet-the-Stage-32-Team Nice to meet you and welcome to the community!

Thanks so much, we're happy to have you here! What genres have you been enjoying writing? I have a feeling you'd dig the Writer's Room: https://www.stage32.com/writersroom You can either DM me or email Jason Mirch for a link for your first month free: J.Mirch@stage32.com Actually, there may be a few webinars coming up that you'd enjoy, too: https://www.stage32.com/education I'm personally looking forward the one tomorrow on how to package and pitch an animated series: https://www.stage32.com/webinars/How-to-Develop-Pitch-and-Sell-an-Animat...

I’m sure you’ve already discovered the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), but definitely reach out on the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting) for insight into characters, dialogue, and even when you want to generate interest in a virtual table read!

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time. Cheers!

Hi Karen "Kay" Ross ! Currently, I'm only a year and a half into writing, so I'm still experimenting with genres, but I've had a lot of fun writing action comedies. I would almost certainly dig the Writer's Room, I may have to take advantage of that free trial. I'm very excited about the opportunities this website presents, and am currently eagerly exploring the site. The mobile app is cool, too!
