Introduce Yourself : Well, hello there - by Laurie Ashbourne

My name is Laurie, despite what others may call me. I’m a writer, producer, script and story consultant, script supervisor, artist, you name it, I’ve done it, but mostly I’m just like every one of you… a curious and hopeful creative person. It’s a tough world we’ve all entered and the journey is different for every single person. I’ve found that a bit of candid diplomacy goes a long way but the busier I get the more my no b.s. filter needs changing. Which leads me to the wonderful community here at Stage 32. I can honestly say that being on this site has expanded my working life in ways I never dreamed of. As RB says, ‘there’s no such thing as a bad connection,’ truer words have never been spoken. Except maybe these: Early in my life, soon after I could speak, the devil whispered in my ear, “you’re not strong enough to withstand the storm.” I turned to him and whispered back, “I am the storm.” I invite you all to hop over to my page and connect with me, not to be political, but we are stronger together.
