Introduce Yourself : What to do in a room full of people who need you to be good right now? by Victoria Spencer Smith

Above all take a deep breath and be yourself. The last two in person auditions have been bookings for feature film roles. They have been extremely productive during the process I believe because I came into the audition with the goal of supplying casting with what they need for their film. Even if the goals could change in the room I only cared about assisting the other people with their needs and meeting each characters immediate needs. And, of course being prepared for all roles if requested to read for them was part of the preparation initially. Yes, it does take a lot of time but I do care about the outcome of the story and the writers vision so I am already caring about the project before I even turn the handle to the door.
