Hope you're all doing well!
Lately, I’ve been diving deep in with The Procedure screenplay refining it and getting it just right, we've been searching for the right producer for this sci-fi feature and at the same time working on a proof-of-concept trailer to help bring the film to life. Which is challenging when working without a budget for the trailer. Thankfully we've got a great crew who's willing to make something so that we might be able to work on a bigger project further down the line. But the biggest challenge has been finding a VFX artist, we've actually been searching for a long time for someone to work on other projects too.
(Anyone know of any VFX artists that would want to work together? ;) :) :D )
Speaking of no budget, at the same time, we’re gearing up to shoot a no-budget version of my comedy feature called Pure Vortex! We’ve already locked in some talent, secured locations (airport, plane rock concert, factory, etc.), have the all the gear, and we’re even on a good path to getting donations to cover transportation and food costs. If all goes well, we’ll be shooting this summer!
On the commercial side, I just wrapped up directing a shoot for an electric company over the past two weeks. It was a really nice experience, with great crew, smooth schedule, and no major headaches. Except for one day, where we spent half of the morning shooting in the snow and everyone's feet got soaked, so we improvised a sock and shoe drying station in the video village tent, which was fun! :D
But then for the rest of the day got to work in a nice cozy and warm house.

You could post an ad for a VFX artist on the Job Board (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).
I'm rewriting two feature scripts, working on a 3-page script (I plan on finishing it today), and other projects here and there.

Hey Maurice Vaughan thank you. Although I think my buddy who's the producer on most projects was looking for someone more local.
Are you rewriting your scripts or someone elses? Why the 3 page script?

You're welcome, Vital Butinar. You could post an ad for a local VFX artist on the Job Board. And you could check the Browse Members section for a local VFX artist (www.stage32.com/people?name=&location=&roles=Special+Effects+Technician).
I'm rewriting my scripts. I'm writing the 3-page script so I can have another short script to pitch.
