Anything Goes : Now, Voyager by Brian Smith

A bitter sweet comment by poor long suffering “Aunt Jane”. Awesome performance by Bette Davies, I still remember it from childhood thirty years back. Cringeworthy repressed impulses, that seemed so unfair for the crusty wallflower who blossomed into a well groomed woman (meant that as compliment to her acting) and that evil old hag mother .....made the old tv set seem real. I remember screaming at the old bitch mother, and grandparents calmed me down with milk tray chocolate. Just shows films get into the psyche.

One of my favorite films. One of Davis;s best. everyone in the film is amazing.
