Register with WGA enough or copyright it too?

If I post my logline and screenplays on my profile, and also shop around a few feature scripts I'm writing, is it enough to just register them with the WGA or should I definitely copyright them too? I have registered with WGA before, but never copyrighted. Any advice on this is appreciated! Thank you.

Copyright. $35. Easy . On line. 5 minutes. CYA. But just my opinion. I am from Brooklyn.

Thanks!

There is a great blog on this at goodinaroom.com Pretty much anyone will tell you that if you envision yourself going to court over an idea, then us copyright is the only thing the court will recognize. That said, it's 'industry standard' to just WGA (and it's way cheaper and easier and it's immediate - the US copyright papers don't come for like 6 months). This all said, don't put your copyright number on the cover of the script. That says 'I'm a newbie and I don't know what I'm doing' to the powers that be. Weird, eh?

I would do both, can't hurt and costs little.

Thanks, Sarah and Marla! Have a great day.
