that's Josh Schwartz! Trojans run Hollywood :)

Regina Lee

Hey Dan, as for Trojans running Hollywood, can you please tell me if any studio and network heads are USC grads besides Jon Glickman? I honestly don't know of any, but I am certain I'm simply unaware, and I would love to be further educated please.

Dan MaxXx

R Here you go. here is USC's Hall of Fame http://cinema.usc.edu/alumni/notable.cfm

Regina Lee

Thanks, Dan. Could you please tell me if any studio and network heads are USC grads besides Jon Glickman?

James Grant Goldin

Hi, Regina - looking at the USC site, there are at least a few Trojans as heads of divisions...Does this help? Samuel Dickerman Executive VP of Productions, Disney Alex Garcia Senior VP, Creative Affairs, Legendary Pictures Zola Mashariki BET, Head of Original Programming Joey Chavez (Vice–President of Drama Development, NBC) Robert Greenblatt (Chairman NBC Entertainment, NBC Universal Television) Michael Ireland (VP, Production, 20th Century Fox) Peter Kang (Executive Vice President, Production, Paramount Pictures) Joseph Lewis (Amazon Studios, Head of Original Programming) Andrew Millstein (President, Walt Disney Animation Studios) Ira Rubenstein (General Manager, Digital, PBS) Scott Sassa (Vice Chairman, El Rey Network) Eric Schrier (Executive Vice President, FX Productions) Momita Sen Gupta (Executive Vice President, Viacom Entertainment Group) Scott Strauss (Executive Vice President, Production: Screen Gems) Andrew Weil (Executive, Netflix, Original Comedy Series)

Regina Lee

Hi James, thanks sincerely for taking the time. Dan keeps stating in multiple threads that USC Trojans "run Hollywood," and I'm still hoping he can please do me the service of shedding light on which USC grads are running studios and networks, or even the big talent agencies. The only Trojan I know is Jon Glickman, who's President of the Motion Pic Group at MGM, yet even he has a boss in Chairman Gary Barber. I appreciate your goodwill and eagerness to help! I do agree that Zola is a very senior and well-respected exec at BET (and I'm thrilled to be producing a new drama pilot in her dept!), but their Chair is Debra Lee, who's an alum of Brown and Harvard, not USC. I'm also certain I'm simply unaware of the USC Trojans who are running big companies, and if Dan has time, I genuinely want to be educated.

Regina Lee

And James - thanks for pointing out USC alum Bob Greenblatt is running NBC, but who are the other alumni running the major companies?

James Grant Goldin

I did have a 90% certainty that you were looking for HEAD-heads as opposed to heads of divisions, but thought I'd give it the old college try. (Not that USC is my old college.) And congratulations on producing a pilot for BET!

Regina Lee

Thanks again, James. For what it's worth, my BET pilot is created/written by a USC alum! He's awesome, and I'm so privileged to be working with him. :-)

Regina Lee

Hey Dan, politely requesting once again that your share your knowledge with me and with the group. I'm sincerely trying to help the community here. Thank you for considering my sincere request.
