SHO MEDIA- CHECK OUT -a multi-cultural dramedy

Take a trip, a trippy little dip into Palestinian life on the City’s Light Rail Line in A Tramway in Jerusalem (Film Movement DVD), a multi-cultural dramedy. To recap: “The Light Rail Red Line of Jerusalem s tramway connects the city from east to west, from the Palestinian neighborhoods of Shuafat and Beit Hanina to Mount Herzl - a journey that comprises the culturally complex makeup of the city. This humorous and touching film, whose cast includes Mathieu Amalric and Hana Laslo, hinges on a series of encounters along the line: simple, mundane interactions that reveal the diverse mosaic of humanity that exists in the spiritual center of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Beneath the clashes and grievances among its population that the world sees, Jerusalem is a city teeming with everyday life; the small conflicts and reconciliations depicted in A Tramway in Jerusalem offer a kernel of hope in a society torn by political strife.” You get to see an abundance of characters in Amos Gitai’s striking commentary of Israel society that talk, sing, harass and even some relaxation on this journey that mashes the culturally complex makeup of the city. In addition to the film, you get a Bonus feature. It is a 35-minute short film, A Letter to a Friend in Gaza, directed by Amos Gitai as well. This short film played alongside the feature at the Venice Film Festival. __________

Film Movement has a movie club and it does streaming- I believe on most platforms. And the Club offers you a double bill for monthly fee. Great Films that earn many accolades in Festivals !!Ed ~~sho Media ~~~
