Have you been bitten by the inspiration bug recently?

So far, 2018 is shaping up to be a good year for me as a writer, output-wise and otherwise. I've written four spec scripts. Three of the screenplays were spewed out quickly with inspired euphoric energy. The most recent one took me months to write because what I was looking for with tone and storywise was coming to me slowly.

In between my own stuff, I was paid to rewrite a short script and a comedy feature treatment for an actor who is a part of a network television show. And now, I'm about to begin writing the script for this actor. This is a tremendous opportunity so I'm beginning to put together more detailed ideas for the story. I'm hoping to quickly get in the groove for this project; but sometimes you have to sit down and write, whether you're inspired or not.

What's your process? Do wait for inspiration to come or do you write whether you're feeling like it or not?

I dropped some $ for masterclass videos and the Ron Howard & Hans Zimmer lessons inspired me. Picked up a Canon EOS camera which I haven’t used in years and started shooting & editing again.

Yes the bug got me last week but we'll see how it goes - the theme got a little wispy on me.

I have 4 ideas outlined, so I try to write every day and keep that momentum. Everyone is different, but I have found that if I don't have a semblance of an outline, I do not want to write meaningless pages. The outlining to me is the writing until the actual screenplay writing happens.

My only goal now is to produce what I write so I am inspired to write but only so I have something to produce.
