I came across this interesting ad on Craiglist today.

I regularly review screenwriting gigs on Craigslist and actually hired out to do a small gig a few weeks back crafting a logline and story synopsis for a television personality.

I came across this ad today on LA Craiglist looking for a playwright to write a screenplay. Check this paragraph out:

Searching for a Harold Pinter-esq Playwright for Screenplay (LA/NY)

Producer/Director team is looking for a writer for a single location feature film (90-110 minutes). While the writing will end up as a screenplay for dramatic filming purposes, we are looking for someone with a strong working knowledge of, and experience with, the craft of playwriting. Specifically, we're looking for a writer with the honed ability to write in the style of Harold Pinter, in which pregnant pauses and silences are plentiful. The film will have a theatrical tone, but the cinematography will be very cinematic. Other references for the tone of our project include Russian existentialist absurdist fiction.

The project will be developed remotely. The producer is in New York and the director is in Europe.

Compensation: Payment & Credit (your option)

Any takers here? Anyone fancy this themselves Pinter-esq? I answered the ad and told the producer/director I drove a Pinto once and waited for Godot at Starbucks but he never showed.

As far as legitimacy? I can not vouch for anything about the ad.

Here's the link if you're interested.
