Kinda Late In The Game

I'm deadlocked and I realize I have to buckle down and get this outline started. Outlines provide a road map to writers. I get that.. but I'm stubborn, which is why I've been putting it off until now. Don't judge me

Edna Chichi Njoku

Hello Aray, what usually motivates you to write?

Mark Mccoy

Ms. Brown how are you? I carry around with me a black notebook. I call it the book of thoughts. So when it hit me I write it down. Even when I'm sleeping and in that dream mood. I have it close by.

Vince Conside

Do whatever makes YOU feel comfortable!

Aray Brown

@Edna - Hello :) It's hard to say. I have a problem getting motivated sometimes but on days it works, it works. I will say that money is an excellent motivator. Lack of money. People like RB, those who really go after it. What about you?

Aray Brown

@Mark - I'm fine and you? That's time well spent! @Vince - I appreciate the support but can't keep staring at the screen for 30 minutes

Vince Conside

Don't worry about outlining? Write your story. Just write.

Mark Mccoy

I agree with vince. Just do it.

Mark Mccoy

Let get you to writing. And the money will soon come. Alright.

Jody Ellis

I agree with Vince too, Aray! You know I'm not a fan of outlines anyway, lol. Just do it! Have fun with it

I am motivated by the end result of my film on screen!!!:) For me, it really starts with the team, the vision and the viewers. What will the world see when i am done? {is what i ask myself}. Worked with a team of people for my first official screenplay. It took a year plus of trips, rewrites, conference calls and so on, but it helped me understand my story so well that within a 24hour prep time, i pitched it here last week, and it got requested. There are many blogs here on Stage 32 that help answer the questions you ask as a writer. As Mark noted, carry a book and write when you feel like. Then work with a team, that loves your vision and together you will be ready to write a full screenplay. Hope this helps. Keep me posted on your progress please:)

Pick everyones brain, especially on this site... Ask what's ur process?( outlining, beats) and all the comments, answers you receive, become a sponge, absorb everything and you'll find out what best suits you and your process will be born. And if anybody judges you, their an asshole. Just write

Edna Chichi Njoku

@Vince awesome tip! #lovemystage32fam

DO NOT listen to negativity from others. You are unique and you do things in a unique way. I like to associate , let go of how I thought it should go and start to think for example : okay I have this guy , he is in this situation , now what are his options ? And just associate. it gets me out of the stuck story line and makes me see it with a new , loose kind of vision , if that makes sense. Then I try to incorporate the new stuff in. You can do it ! I believe in you :)

Aray Brown

Love you guys <3 Everyone on this site has been so positive and supportive. I'm not surprised though
