In my usual amatuerish/rookie way, I'm pretty damn excited about Piratessa being advanced to quarter-finalist in a feature screenplay contest. Granted it's not a huge contest, but Piratessa is in the 1,000 chosen of 13,000 entries... so yeah, I'm happy.
Piratessa is a high-concept detective story taking place in the billionaire yachting community of Costa Rica (though it could be adapted to fit whichever local the producer prefers to film). The adversary is a female black-widow type. You can check it out on my profile here or at Script Revolution (https://www.scriptrevolution.com/profiles/heidi-schussman)
My table read with Stage 32 actors was a blast and helped me fine tune the script, so thanks Team Piratessa! And thanks Script Lab.
Congrats and enjoy the recognition for your work.
Congrats! You got my number if I can be of any help.
Phillip, thanks for the encouragement. Things are going in the right direction.
Thanks Doug! Trust me, I know who I can contact for real advice based on a lifetime of experience. Too bad you're retired. ;)
