Screenwriting : Script swap? by Josiah Olson

Script swap?

I have this idea... Feedback is one of the most important things to help us improve our writing, but script counseling costs a fortune, and sometimes our friends get sick of us handing them things to read. My solution is a Script Swap- The idea is that we would exchange our scripts, read them, rate them on the professional script rating standard, write an analysis, and possible discuss them via Skype. It would be free for both parties because you are mutually benefitting. If your interested and have a finished script email me at josiaholson1997@gmail.com I'm looking forward to hearing from y'all!

You know you can post them on your loglines page here and request reviews? Also, you should never get family and friends to give you feedback, only fellow writers.

This can work but be careful. Try and get your work read by experienced screenwriters (those with at least 4+ scripts), if you want to get feedback that's going to improve your writing. Otherwise it will be the blind leading the blind.

It's really hard to find really experienced screenwriters to give you notes and I would argue you're better off getting notes from someone who knows how to give notes.
