A bit of a non-screenwriting question but has been bugging me - why do actors take on uncredited roles? Seen so many films with well known actors who are not credited. Some are even significant speaking roles. Do they still get paid? Do they do them as a favour? Is it because they land the role for themselves and not the agent getting it for for them? Is there one industry reason or several? thanks.
Pete, I used to ask myself that same question. Until I found myself in a role for 6 months. Actors love the art, the chance to be someone else. Sometimes it's done for fun or because they are fans and wanted to be part of that project.
