I take time to read screenplay writing books, to illuminate my character as well as learn tricks of the trade. Now it's time to put my reading education to use, by simply creating flow charts & taking chapter titles & then highlighting sentences that match the titles. It's a process that needs to be done, if I didn't ace my reading class I'd be rocked bottom.
sounds like a great foundation. good for you for you.
Sounds pretty analytical. And, reading all those SW books may get confusing, as some have opposing opinions on writing screenplays. The best advice I am finding is to do these three things: 1. Watch successful movies 2. Read successful movie scripts (but avoid shooting scripts) 3. Write. Writers write everyday they can.
