I know by posting this I'll get all the "reboots make money" and "people love these shows" bla, bla, bla! But I wonder why with all the great stories, writers and fresh ideas that can be mined, they're redoing a tired show like Prison Break that got stale after the first season? Be more like the Brits and do one or two seasons and move on. Jesus! Burry the dead and move on. To quote Johnny Ringo's character from "Tombstone", "Don't any of you have the guts to fight for blood?" Just exchange blood for creativity and you'll get what I mean.

I think FOX also rebooted Lethal Weapon into a TV series.
Dunno if the FOX president and Executives are gun shy but these studio executives jobs are hard to get and tough to keep. Reboots old shows is the conservative play, Advertisers and Stock holders know the brand.
There is alway Netflix or Amazon for the daring TV concepts.
Maxxxy: true 'nuff and great post.

What's crazy is they pass on a lot of shows that other networks pick up. They passed on Black Lightning, Supergirl, Riverdale, Locke and Key, Legion, and more.
I agree. However maybe the audiences they cater for are "part cause " of the lack of fresh blood. When do we see in film news media ? "Audiences crave fresh blood and are sick of re hashed, stale, and ...... every which way but loose, totally predictable scripts ". NEVER. The show will go on as long as people watch it.
Networks seem to think audiences need series on current day events across the world. Implausible and far fetched faked news.
