Success Stories: APR'20 Hoping for representation

Judy Klass

Hoping for representation

Yay, again! I pitched a screenplay to an agency, via Skype and Happy Writers, and the person I pitched to asked to read it. Here's hoping. Representation by these folks would be a lovely thing.

Phil Parker

Well done, Judy. Best of luck!

Rosalind Winton

Fantastic news, wishing you the best of luck :)

Judy Klass

It's not Anonymous Content . . . when things are at this stage, I prefer not to name names . . .

Nerys John

That's great! I can't wait to get pitching too. Fantastic you've had success with it! :)

Laura Cross

Mike Anka

Shari D. Frost

So exciting, Judy! Fingers crossed -- keep us posted!

Curtis J Lofgren

Good luck! I had Benderspink ask for 5 of mine, but that was another Benderspink guy, not Mr. Vang. I've had NO LUCK getting scripts requested in the past 6 months! I need a break!!!

Brian Walsh

Sounds like you're doing a great job of pitching, Judy. I'll be coming to you for advice one day. :)

Judy Klass

Hey there, Brian. Don't come to me for advice until a producer or management company actually signs me or one of my scripts! And Curtis -- I agree, it's rough out there. A writer kind of needs to be a masochist, or to have a hide like an armadillo . . .

Elisabeth Meier

I agree to Brian, you must be great in pitching stories. How and where did you exercise it? I keep my fingers crossed for you. Good luck!

Judy Klass

The thriller script that's been requested several times was optioned in the past and I've turned it into a YA novel published by a small press, so it's got a few things going on for it . . . and I teach, so I guess I'm reasonably good at flapping my jaws . . .

Curtis J Lofgren

What's the company? Most luck I've had is Benderspink, but NOT with Mr. Vang. They took 6 of my scripts to peek at last year and the year before. This year, I can't get arrested!

Judy Klass

I'll say who it is when/if I actually sign with someone -- until that point I'd rather not say.

Ally Shina

Good luck with the reads.
