I just found out that I was cast in my first musical theatre show where I am going to be doing tap dancing! I am primarily a film and TV actor but I just love working on stage! Last summer I decided to learn to tap dance and progressed fairly quickly to the advanced level. My dance teacher told me about Billy Elliot and the part of Michael (it's a crazy show stopping scene with a very high level of tap dancing) and told me to go and audition. It was the toughest, longest audition I have ever had in my 3 year career. 4 hours of tapping, ballet, acting, singing and pairing up. So many talented kids! Anyways, I am just so excited to be pushed into expanding my abilities and wanted to share! The big scene I will have to do is called "express yourself"- youtube it if you don't know it-it's awesome!
