Here's the description for "Clearcut." When he's kicked out of Greenpeace for hitting back, a rogue environmentalist decides to takes things into his own hands. With the support of a band of true believers, he takes on a South Korean multinational cartel, who is committing environmental crimes, and their point man, who happens to be his oldest friend and former partner in the U.S. Forest Service. High Noon for the two men takes place on top of the concrete curtain known as Hoover Dam. Tagline: Mother Nature bats last.

Stuart St Paul

well done, having done a few films I am now enjoying having to tell each story in 3 minutes for the #webseries #shadesofbad seems a whole wave of old pros are now jumping into this new world https://youtu.be/m3TObe4ldb4

Ken White

Stuart. I like it. Nicely done. And thanks Brandi. This is an amazing community.

Stuart St Paul

Yes, I've been around a while and if I am going to do a web series it has to be the same quality I would expect .. shot on ProRess HD RAW, sound recorded on Tascam and fully scored. It is edited for full score, not too tight. The scripts have to hit home and leave you wanting more in 3 minutes ... and 10 need to edit together into a conventional 30 minute slot. So, it is a proper series. I do find it odd when the web festivals that are appearing in everyone's back yard seem to accept two episodes as a series. I don't get that. A series should be at least 5, and as we know in TV 8, 10, 13 and 26 eps are normal packages. But, yes, an interesting new world, and I think all entertainment will be downloaded soon. That is a severe thought for broadcasters who seem to continue to be in digital denial. I love that term ! check a few more out, I have seen eps 18 to 20 edited this week and it is getting real good.

Joaquín Carrasquilla

Good luck, sounds very interesting !

Stuart St Paul

It is, but as they say, it is just as much work to make a small film as a big one, so some only go for the big one. We do make the bigger stuff but I see the web series and web transmission happening so so fast that I wanted to gain a low risk foot print out there. Shades Of Bad is an interesting challenge. the three minute script and shorter format is interesting, though you might argue every scene should be that good and on plot.

Sylvia Marie Llewellyn

Congrats on the request. I love the title and Clearcut sounds quite intriguing. The Hoover Dam is a fantastic backdrop. All the best to you.

Ken White

Thanks Sylvia. It was a fun story to write. I was channeling my inner Edward Abbey.

Frank Gaydos

Ken, best of luck...as a fellow environmentalist, we need to keep getting the word out there...best of luck!

Ken White

Frank - I absolutely agree.
