So two weeks ago, I realized I wasn't going to make a trip to L.A. this summer and Lee Jessup follow her if you don't told me she felt my current project was worth pitching on the Happy Writers site. I didn't even know what it was. But what the hell, I wasn't making the trip I usually make to take meetings and make connections. I got my pitch to a tight 4 minutes and I signed up for 12 different sessions over two weeks. They were fun and easy, though the first few were nerve wracking, and except for one epic fail pitch I ended up with 10 script requests for my original drama pilot out of 12 sessions. Not sure what the average ratio is, but that seems pretty good to me. Hopefully the script is as good as the pitch and some positive things come out of it - just making some great connections has been worth it. I'll let you guys know if anything happens. Thanks Joey!
