'Talk to the Hand' Play going to the South African Fringe Festival

RB asked me to post this project that fellow Stage 32'er Jake Chika and I our doing. Jake and I met here. He saw by web site. http://dreamartsproductions.com/ and looked at my work. My current play intrigued him enough to ask to read it. I sent him the play and after reading he said he wanted to produce and direct it. But he also said that he could do one of two things. He could do a production there in Pretoria, South Africa or, he suggested, we could enter it in the Fringe Festival that is held there each year in July. Doing the festival would give my play the opportunity to having a life after the festival and not just a one time run in a theatre. I opted for the festival. So with a crew and actors made up of entirely South Africans we began this journey. Now anyone who has put on a production, be it film or theatre, know that this does take some funds. Actors, crew and sets have to be paid and should be paid. Thus another journey begins for Jake and myself, raising funds. If anyone can contribute, no amount is too small, we would greatly appreciate this. For information, please visit, http://dreamartsproductions.com/ Thank you from both Jake and myself. Namaste

Hi! Wow, amazing. I hope you get the funds you need. I too am a South African, though in Cape Town. I cannot provide you funds, but if you need help with music related stuff please do send me a mail, maybe I can help you music and not money :)

Thanks Shannon. Would and could really use any help you can provide with this. Maybe emailing your friends with a note to donate if at all possible. Thank you for your moral support. http://www.gofundme.com/BrendaIovino

Maike thank you but there is no music. What you could do for me it to spread the word and maybe some of your friends could donate. Do you ever get to the Fringe Festival? Thanks again Ciao

I don't actually, because I don't stay in Gauteng (I stay in a different province).
