“The Recess” nominated at FICEE – Festival Internacional de Cine Educativo y Espiritual de Ciudad Rodrigo in Spain
It's our pleasure to announce that “The Recess” (Spanish: El Recreo) directed by Navid Nikkhah Azad has been nominated for Best Fiction Short Film at the 12th edition of the FICEE - Festival Internacional de Cine Educativo y Espiritual de Ciudad Rodrigo (Ciudad Rodrigo International Educational and Spiritual Film Festival), which is taking place April 17-29, 2023 in Ciudad Rodrigo, Spain.
The Spanish-Iranian short drama “The Recess” has competed in 162 international film festivals including FIAPF-accredited, Goya Awards qualifying festivals and Academy Award® qualifying festival around the world and has won 31 awards.
Directed and produced by Navid Nikkhah Azad and co-produced by Spanish producer Delia Guerra Parra and Mohammad Shahverdy, “The Recess” brings the story of the self-immolated Sahar Khodayari (Iranian Blue Girl) to life.
