Hello everyone and top of the season to you! Just returned home from a wonderful pre-production meeting this evening at Piccolos Italian Restaurant in Amsterdam with screenwriter Elena Lommers who I met here on Stage 32! We went over her excellent new script discussing character development, possible cast members , the story itself (still top secret hehe) interesting alternate scenes, the music soundtrack being created by yours truly, and, finally, the most crucial ending. Actually, I am saying a lot here and now but Elena did most of the talking as we sat and ate dinner. I listened intrigued by her great story and gave my own constructive views and music ideas. We are under way in 2017! We would like to invite all Amsterdam and area creatives to have a regular Stage 32 get together maybe once a month in Amsterdam, and we invite you to join us to discuss projects and just connect. PM Elena or myself and let us get started with the Stage 32 Amsterdam Chapter! Not to be rude. But, Elena Lommers, Do you have a relative named Antoinette Lommers that lives in Nijmegen? I ask because when I lived in Holland in 1974 , I lived with her for 3 months. She worked at the Cannasius Ziekenhaus. Than for the rest of the year I moved up to Amsterdam where I worked for the NBBS at 136 Kerkstraat in the Hans Brinker. I have written a screenplay called Amsterdam 74 that I hope to produce there within a year any help you and Pat can offer would be great.

Elena Lommers- Are you the sister of Antoinette Lommers? I lived with her in Nijmegen in 1974. I am writing a screenplay called 'Amsterdam 74. I plan to produce (allowing for funding) with some Stage 32 creatives in Amsterdam as well as other parts of Holland. I would very much like to join your Network. However, since some of Stage 32 features are down during the upgrade I have not been able to PM either you or Pat. If you would be so kind as to join my 'Working Network of Metro NYC Stage 32 Creatives I would be very grateful. I do speak Dutch. I also speak Spanish & French. I realize that is very unusual for an American. But I am more a Native New Yorker than an American. I was actually born in Brooklyn(I know you guys spell it Breuklen). Anyway, I hope to be in Holland for at least 3-6 months filming next year. I would love to find a room or apartment in the Centrum(I can afford about 800 Euros). Not much I know. I might have to consider living in Amstelveen like the last time and take the 26 Bus into town everyday. Oh well that's that. Let me know. You really do look like Antoinette Lommers sister!! On your script, Steven. I have a couple of scenes in my screenplay that take place in Amsterdam. So we'll be dealing with finance and permits when we start pre-production of our film. I'll have the info on it later. But it all comes down to networks and talking to the right people. That's why these Amsterdam meetings are so important!

I'll look for your network Steven. I'm actually Georgian/Russian/Dutch married to a Dutch/Spanish guy and speak 4 languages. Nothing is unusual to me anymore. ;) I think Pat can help you more with apartments. For we just found out there were none. Or at least none affordable for holidays. I'll ask Pat to check the comments.

Steven, there are some other towns you could film that look a lot like Amsterdam. I know some spots.

Elena- Thank you. I would like if both you and Pat would join my 'Working Network' of Stage 32 Metro NYC/Dutch Stage 32 creatives. With you and Pat I feel I am a little more connected to getting to Holland and shooting my film. Of course I have (3) copyrighted screenplays ahead of 'Amsterdam 74'. that I want to shoot first. However $$ or Euros talk and If we could find a Dutch or European Film distributo or investor to fund us, I'll be on the Next KLM flight!! When I lived there I spent the first 3 months in Nijmegen(where the first part of my film took place). Then when I moved up to Amsterdam to work for the NBBS I lived in Amstelveen at Uilenstade.. Anyway let's stay in touch.

Elena is a brilliant writer and it is rare for me to be all ears but she had me from the first scene. Stage 32 will be a busier place than ever for creatives getting together and I will be promoting and networking here myself as I have much to share but lots to learn. Happy New Year hermano. Tequila!
