Screenwriter from Croatia, raised and currently based in the country.
While still a teenager, Lucija started writing short stories about special moments in her life. In one of her thoughts while walking to school, she imagined a film about a girl who had been hurt. Later that day, she wrote about the story. After a few years, when Lucija was in her senior year, the story became a screenplay. It wasn't great, but it was a start. In the process of writing that screenplay, Lucija found her love of writing screenplays.
Without previous experience and a portfolio, she could not apply for Academy, and instead joined Cinema Club Sisak, Croatia. Film club has helped her learn how to write, edit videos, and a lot more. Lucija finished a course in volunteer coordinator to assist the club in organizing the Star Film Festival in Sisak every year.
Lucija wrote a true crime story movie screenplay using headlines and court transcripts found on local news websites. This would be well suited as a television series due to its 350 pages of script.
As a screenwriter and, hopefully, one day as a director, Lucija hopes to tell stories that will take someone's breath away, perhaps shock them, or simply inspire them.
