About Mandy

Mandy Hoffman is a composer and songwriter who splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles. She has scored numerous features, shorts, and documentaries that have appeared in theaters and prestigious theaters across the world, including Sundance, Rotterdam, Berlin, and SXSW. In 2011 "Terri" (John C Reilly and Creed Bratton, directed by Azazel Jacobs) was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.

Hoffman recently scored the HBO/SKY Network (UK) series "Doll & Em", written by and starring Dolly Wells and Emily Mortimer, and her music can be found in countless television shows including "Inside Amy Schumer", "American Pickers", "NBC Dateline", and "The Voice" to name a few. She has also collaborated with world-class artists including Marcos Lutyens and Barbara Husar to present installations in top notch galleries located in New York, Vienna, Paris, Sweden, and Los Angeles.

She is a multi-instrumentalist with a keen understanding of dramatic nuance and can write honestly in many musical styles and genres. Noticeably gifted as a child, she would often improvise compositions and melodies and easily picked up new instruments. Years later, she was an award-winning student in Pasadena City College's distinguished music program and was certified in UCLA Extension's celebrated Film Scoring program.
