About Matthew

Matt Vossler has overcome many challenges in his life and has survived, even thrived throughout. Matt built a successful business, raised two children, authored a best-selling book series, founded a national nonprofit corporation, has been mentioned in Oprah magazine, and has realized many of the goals that he dreamed of as a child growing up. Matt has a passion for life and helping others realize their own goals and dreams. Matt's first fictional novel, Dream Crossing, has been adapted into a screenplay and is slated to be a film to be released as early as 2017. He is also hard at work on the sequel to Dream Crossing, teaming up with screenwriter, Karen Kenyon, as well as another project, Shifted, a ground-breaking science fiction novel. Matt has recently taken up acting and has landed a role in a local film as Professor McBride in, Formula Phoenix (MOB Productions). In 2009, Matt founded Oaklight Publishing. Before closing its doors in December of 2014, Oaklight offered more than 140 titles in both print and eBook formats and Matt discovered and nurtured many promising authors and negotiated to have their titles sold at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and at major eBook stores such as Apple's iBook, Kindle, and Kobo. Matt conducts seminars on the topics of writing and publishing and has met and negotiated mutually beneficial contracts and working relationships with other players in the publishing industry by attending publishing conferences, expos, and book fairs. Matt spends his time with his children, writing, and is active in local charity work.
