ᎪᎳᏅ - Raven Mocker 'The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.' - H.P. Lovecraft When a young girl's grandfather was murdered she returned to her birthplace in Oklahoma to settle his affairs and move into the farmhouse she inherited. As mysterious things started happening, she recalled the Cherokee stories her grandparents had told her as a child. After she began documenting the strange occurences on her cell phone she told a friend she recognized what was happening and said a raven mocker, one of the most feared witches in Cherokee folklore, was out to kill her. She finds four of her grandfather's notebooks written in Cherokee but coded to keep his medicine secrets from outsiders. With the help of a Cherokee speaking neighbor, she learns that medicine men code their formulas and then figures out what she needs to do in order to defeat the dreaded raven mocker. Using her cell phone footage, notes, eye witness accounts and police reports, her friend now trying to reconstruct the crime to find her body and learn the identity of the witch she referred to as "Golanv" or ᎪᎳᏅ. Of all the Cherokee wizards or witches the most dreaded is the Golanv - the Raven Mocker (Golanv Ahkyeli'skï), the one that robs the dying man of life.
