Sample Chapter The sound of seagulls awakens the morning as the sunrise casts its glistening rays upon the surf. It was almost summer, and Faith knew it would never be the same. She had spent the entire winter and spring months indoors and he was beginning to worry about her. Unknown to her, there were times he’d pressed his ear against her bedroom door and heard her sobbing quietly, wishing there was something he could do to ease the pain she’d endured from her emotionally, abusive, husband Eric.
