2013 Spread the Dead 48 Hour Zombie Film Competition

Filmmakers...think you have what it takes to SPREAD THE DEAD?? The dead walk...and we only have 48 hours to shoot them! A TERRIFYING twist on the 48-hour film contest model, Spread the Dead 48 Hour Zombie Film Competition is the ultimate experience in horror filmmaking challenges. At an exclusive Kick-Off Event, teams of FRIGHTmakers from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth DEAD-troplex gather to accept their MACABRE mission: write, shoot, and edit a short zombie film in only 2 days. To make things even more interesting, teams are instructed to randomly select a film genre (ranging anywhere from western to musical) with the CHILLING caveat that their end products must also contain plenty of GHOULS, STIFFS, STENCHES, WALKERS, or just plain ZOMBIES! From there, the clock starts ticking as teams are released to complete and turn in their zombie flicks before the 48 hour DEADLINE. Later, teams are invited back to attend a special screening where their zombie masterpieces are unveiled before a RAVENOUS and FLESH-HUNGRY audience. Additionally, a panel of zombie film fanatic judges will select winners to be bestowed with APPALLING awards and PUTRID prizes. Team spots are limited, so don't wait for the zombie apocalypse to come to you. Go to http://spreadthedead48hr.com for more information.
