This is a 2 min. promo video for a project I'm sponsoring. The final film will be 30-90 minutes. Its about the McGee Brothers Shoe Repair and Upholstery Shop in Elgin, one of the longest running businesses in town. Its still operated by James McGee, son of A.R. McGee, who was my grandfather. I'll be exploring just how this business came about. After all, there was a depression going on, and nobody had any money. A.R. and family survived that and he supported a family of 4 boys and 3 girls through up until 1975 when he passed away. I pose the question, "What makes a business last?" And through interviews with James and his family and friends, I hope to get some answers that we all can put put to good use.
