Suggested topic: Feedback and what to do about it. If you're making video or film, how do you test people's reactions? Do you try out your loglines on strangers standing in line at the convenience store to watch their reactions? Have you bought professional feedback for your scripts? How do you handle other people's suggestions? What criteria for feedback do YOU use when you're reading or watching someone's work? Do you believe in "tact," or "tough love?" Show up and we can talk about this kind of thing, or whatever you have on your mind right now that you want to kick around in a group of peers.

I was the only one at the library today, with three scripts and the feedback from two contests and a producer. Understandable, given that it was raining and I was not able to give much notice this time. I connected to wi-fi, updated my laptop and went home at 3:30 PM. I need to know if there is any interest in doing another meetup this year. Personal update: Since our last meetup, through my Screenwriting Staffing Utopia subscription, at the Labor Day Holiday period I was able to connect with a smart, young, fledgling producer who wants to make a web series in the area. He asked for a 20-page script submission, which I planned in one day, wrote in the next, sent in and "won the job" by the next week, after he read the responses he received. Tentatively, there will be ten webisodes, though I am waiting for the contract to sign.
