About the meetup
We are about to be very busy in our group. There are so many films about to start because of the Rack Focus 4 Mixer/Pitch Session being held on July 17th at Cadillac Dreams Studio. This could be the last one held at Cadillac Dreams because of the whole mall being torn down in December. Chaz mentioned that he has already found a new building for his studios. There will probably be more movies pitched and done this Rack Focus than last time. Hope to see you at our meeting on Thursday to finish casting some films inside our Stage32 group and then again on Sunday the 17th for the mixer. It's going to get busy real quick guys........
About the group
The first 'Stage 32' actors meet-up group serving Dallas and Ft.Worth actors and crew professionals in the area. Meet-ups with our group will help to find opportunities for our members and further the film industry in and outside of the Metroplex. We will maintain a listing of available talent in our group to support project casting and any emergency last minute film crews. Because how many times have we been on a shoot and ran out of background actors or no-shows? We will also try to share the wisdom of our histories on the set. The group may end up being the go to place for directors and casting agents to cast their projects. Please join us and let's see how big we can become together. We can also be a great opportunity to try that new play you've written or that screenplay which is begging to be produced. DFWART is starting, and if you are looking for a group such as this, please contact us. We will decide what would be the best times and places to have our meets when we get a few interested members. Looks like we are being seated in the front of the room tonight. Henry the manage of Rio Mambo is placing us up front in the Cantina. So, we should be on our best behavior tonight. Just sayin'........Ha!
We (myself and Jennifer Jodziewicz) hate to miss out on the first event we RSVP'd for, but had a video shoot run extra long today and are just now wrapping up. So sorry we will not be able to make it tonight. We look forward to the next one though!
Ditto above from Tom More - We're running far too behind now in wrapping up an unexpected extended shoot. However, we're excited to connect with the DFWART group at next month's meeting!
Thanks for the heads up Tom and Jennifer. We had lots of people there. Sorry you missed it. We will have another one the middle of next month. Be sure to go to the Cadillac Dreams Studio for the Rack Focus film mixer on Sunday. I wouldn't miss it. I'll be there with a name tag. Get with me there.
