Back by popular demand! Are you a screenwriter in the San Francisco Bay Area/northern California region? Here's a great opportunity to meet, mingle, and get to know other writers - just like you. The magic happens on Sunday, June 9th, from 2-4pm at Kawika's Ocean Beach Deli - 734 La Playa (between Balboa & Cabrillo) in San Francisco, just a block from Ocean Beach. The deli's owner (a sweetheart of a guy named David) is a big supporter of the arts, and in exchange for letting us use the space, does ask that you make some kind of purchase while you're there (coffee, snacks, etc - and the sandwiches are huge and delicious). Please RSVP at your convenience by confirming you'll attend in the comments below.Any questions? Our congenial staff is standing by.Hope to see you there!

Join our New Media Mingle networking meetup in Fullerton. I wanted to build a network outside of the Hollywood area. It seems that most media events are either on the Westside or Hollywood where traffic is bad and parking can be hard to find. This group is for anyone involved in the entertainment industry, especially those in New Media, video, and film. I plan on developing a new business outreach program within the next two years to match businesses that need promotional media with those who can provide it. Because of the venue we need to keep this meetup on the small side. Next month I have a new location picked out.

Hi Stage 32 Writers! It's almost time for the best part of the month again. The Writer's Happy Hour Meetup! Come on by Sycamore Tavern on Thursday the 28th to hang out, meet other writers/creators, talk writing, talk movies, hang out with me (Nick Assunto), Jason Mirch, and Allen Roughton, of our Script Services team, and meet Justin L. Ross, the EVP of Development for Bohemia Group Originals. We'll also, again, be raffling off winner's choice of Script Coverage Notes or a 30 Minute Consultation on your script. These are really great ways to get your script in front of someone in the industry, as well as get some feedback that helps you shape your script into a stronger sample. So come hang out, bring friends, make friends while you're there, talk movies, yell about how CRAZY it is the Oscars won't be broadcasting those key technical awards and how much of a slap in the face that is to film (I get a little passionate).
