THE ART OF ACTIVE NETWORKING, KANSAS CITY June 7th

Like you, we recognize that at times we ALL struggle! 'The Art of Active Networking' is a worldwide networking group focused on helping you to do better by asking "How can I help you do better right now?" Join us in any of our cities worldwide, and let us change everything you believe about Networking! We’ll show you how to build powerful relationships through giving using our method of #MYGIVE4. You may be launching your startup, in need of a job or career shift, perhaps you want to get top ranked on Amazon. Sometimes you may just need help walking your dog, or just want to expand your friendships. Our purpose here is to volunteer our ideas, time, resources and money, simply to help one another. You will have an opportunity to speak to everyone in the room, and you will absolutely meet people you might otherwise never have an opportunity to meet. At “The Art of Active Networking”, we ask you to consider offering your #MYGIVE4: 1. Give of your ideas and talent, offer advice! 2. Give of your time, volunteer! 3. Give of your money, donate! 4. Give of your network, through referrals! Come see why over 15,000 people have attended in 5 countries and 17 cities worldwide! Each event starts at 6:45pm and ends about 9:45pm! (Our events are NEVER more than 135 people!) Tickets are always available on our website or Meetup.com until 6:15pm the day of each event. TICKET PRICING: Regular Tickets: $20 (Typically for sale on our website or local Meetup Group) Student Tickets: $10 (You MUST have a current student ID) Walk-ins are 30$ CASH at the door until 7:15pm As always Veterans are FREE; we thank you for your service. Join our social media groups and pages and post up what you need or can offer via the links below, follow us on Twitter and Instagram and let’s help each other do better right now! http://www.TheArtofActiveNetwo... Finally, this is 100 percent privately funded. In order to expand it and keep it thriving we've launched a Crowdrise Campaign to help. Take a look, and if you feel like you can give a bit, we’d really appreciate your consideration and kindness: https://www.crowdrise.com/mygi... Increasing the Value of your Film with Sound and Music

The Art of Producing requires the ability to find resources, and some of the most powerful resources you can bring to a film are sound and music. Join us this evening for a discussion with a composer/orchestrator, a sound engineer and a musician. See what you can do to create an outstanding soundtrack for your film. Johnathan Sacks has been a composer and orchestrator for 30 years.  He has orchestrated films such as Mr. Holland's Opus, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2 & 3, Seabiscuit, Meet the Fockers, About a Boy, Monsters Inc. and many more.  What does Hollywood have to teach the independent filmmaker when it comes to film composition, music production, and sound design?

SJS MOVIE MEETUP: WONDER WOMAN

Please join us on Friday June 2nd for the evening showing (time TBA) of Wonder Woman at the AMC Deptford 8 in Deptford, NJ. After the movie, we will discuss the film over food and drinks at Chili's. Please note, this theater has reserved seating and often sells out in advance. Please try to purchase your tickets online as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to network and get to know your fellow writers and filmmakers in a fun and casual setting. Additionally, it is common practice among industry pros to see movies in the theater on opening weekends to gauge the audience's reaction. After the movie we will spend time evaluating the storyline and the movie's overall success, or lack there of. Everyone is welcome, including member's guests. Look for us in the lobby after the movie ends.
