About Mellissa

US born Mellissa left her native New Jersey in 2003 and began her journey in Greece, where she began to integrate her love for ancient history into her professional life as a writer and screenwriter.

Creator and producer of the popular website “Whispers From Greece”, Mellissa’s poetic style and prose has gained her a global audience and popularity especially for her series “A Conversation with the Gods”. After completing the world wide MOOC “Archaeology’s Dirty Little Secrets” hosted by Brown University in Long Island, Mellissa was inspired to create one of her most notable projects: “The Acropolis: Then and Now.” The project was to build a visual “window” in time, siding the ancient monument’s perspective in comparison with its modern existence.

Through her works as editor and story consultant for the entire Mortal Guard trilogy, in addition to her artistic skills with her material featured on Earthsky and seen on National Geographic & Saatchi Art, Mellissa joined EPAGON Pictures as Director of Development.
