Michael began his career as a photojournalist with interest for music and the arts. In his extensive travels across the world he has always pursued his passion to tell stories with images. He has been trained in both video art and cinematography in Singapore & London respectively, and has successfully merged art + technology into a personal form of expression.
Since then, Michael has shot for Sony Music, EMI, Warner and Lyra as well as numerous commercial clients including 8th ASEAN Para Games and Singapore Telecommunications. He has extensive experience in colour grading and is a certified SGO Mistika and Davinci Resolve operator. His work is also deeply rooted in the artistic realm with numerous audiovisual performances and works across Europe and Southeast Asia, including Nuit Blanche in Paris and Onassis Cultural Centre in Athens.
He DP’d his first documentary feature, Koumaria – Improvising across boundaries in new media art and community, which is running at selected festivals during 2016. Two more documentaries as well as a live cinema piece are currently in production.
