Gaetan Mariage's Photo This rig was designed by cameraman Gaetan Mariage to have the same form factor as a betacam type or ENG camera. It allows for one-man operation, key element in investigative journalism and low budget productions, while combining the highest standards of video technology with photographic optical quality. It's compact and modular design makes it suitable for any kind of filming configuration. The EOS C100 uses the same Super 35mm Canon CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV III image processor as its big brother, the C300. Picture profiles based on Canon's Cinema Log can be created and tweaked on-the-fly. For slo-mo, the 1080i60 can be de-interlaced to 30p or 24p, giving a similar result than the C300's internal 720p60. The Atomos NINJA 2 records 1920x1080 24p//30p/60i directly from the camera's sensor to a SSD in Apple's ProRes edit-ready codecs. The Ninja-2 encodes in real-time to 10-bit, 4:2:2 Apple ProRes at up to 220Mbps. No conversion process needed, ready for editing and color grading. Back-up recording is provided by the camera's internal AVCHD codec. LENS MOUNT: It's EF lens mount makes the camera compatible with the full range of Canon lenses and third party high quality lenses such as Zeiss and Voigtlander. EVF: A heavy duty Electronic Viewfinder with Retina quality was added and calibrated to provide optimal monitoring in shoulder operation mode. POWER: This system is designed by Anton Bauer to provide power to the C100. It also powers the NINJA recorder and the EVF. #1088435393382064362
