Waiter - Male 23 - 50 The part of five waiters are intentionally played by just one actor for effect. The setting is a foreign restaurant(Greek or Italien) and the actor must be able to adapt his accent and physicality to create 5 very different characters including an old man in his 70s. The accents need to be a blend of foreign accents with an overtone of Yorkshire. The waiters play a continual part in the play and good stagecraft as well as previous stage experience is essential as is an ability to be in the moment. The actor may also be required to understudy for one of the other male roles in the play. It is suggested that you refer to Alan Ayckbourn's website -http://timeofmylife.alanayckbourn.net/styled-16/index.html Male Understudy for two brothers, Glyn and Adam 21-32 Although primarily an understudy, you will be guaranteed at least 4 performances for the run. The two brothers are quite different and so you must be able to adapt. 1) Glyn, the older brother, approx 28-32, Yorkshire accent required. He works in his father's building firm, is confident at times, but also vulnerable and sensitive at times. Must be able to show vulnerability. 2) Adam, the younger brother, is 23, also has a Yorkshire accent, and is slightly nervous and nerdy. He spends his time writing a poetry magazine and has refused to work in his father's building firm, much to his father's annoyance. Must be able to show vulnerability.
