Astonished!

Hi, I just read about Stage 32 an hour ago, subscribed, and scanned the site very quickly. I'm astonished at the wealth of creative people, information, support, and opportunities to network. I've been working as a freelance writer and photographer for a few decades, but never been very good at networking... so this site looks like an answer for me to that difficulty. I'm endlessly curious, so if you look at my profile, you will see that I've written novels, non-fiction, and had some success as a still photographer. One of my passions is volunteering at a not-for-profit school in the Peruvian Andes, teaching photography and English, plus working (slowly) on a video of their work.. I'm working these days on writing a screenplay, learning about the ways to do stock photography, and playing with my 3 Golden Retrievers... that sums up things for now. I'm really looking forward to meeting people through Stage 32.

So great to have you in the community, Marsha! Since you said networking isn't your strong suit, I recommend listening to On Stage with RB. It's free and he goes over the Dos and Donts of networking. You can watch them here: https://www.stage32.com/webinars/on-stage-with-rb. I also recommend you look into the Stage 32 Happy Writers, which you can find on the top menu bar, as there are opportunities for coverage, pitching, and classes for writers. I hope you enjoy the site! :)
