Woody Lindsey

Creator of "Teller Of Tales." An Originally Scripted Series Of Grimm Fairy Tales.

Hello Film and Creative Artists Alike, I recently finished developing (5 years to the month) an Original Scripted Series of Grimm Fairy Tales. The project as a whole has been wonderful, as I've reached out to some extremely talented developers, who have created original fonts, music, movie posters... The works. I have finished writing the scripts of three stories and have developed a pitch book that showcases the projects potential to be made into a series of films or a television series. From shot breakdowns to storyboards to an array of detailed visuals that showcase the Grimm world of characters. There is even a Map of the world! I would have to say, "That if a project could ever play host to blending a Harry Potter and Lord Of The Rings series together as one? Then I've accomplished it." From goblins to trolls to witches to jesters. This series is authentic to its medieval realm of gothic settings and carnivalesque characters. Think Jim Henson meets Tim Burton meets Terry Gilliam! I'll attach a link to the Facebook page so you can peruse the visuals, characters, possible actors, and pitch trailers. And you can feel free to check out my Stage 32 profile as I've started loading content as well. Now, for what is needed? I need to network with people, who would love to see this world and the stories come to life on the screen. For the past 5 years I've spent my entire life developing this world and have currently found myself without the friends or people, who can make these Original (Not Brothers Grimm Stories) Grimm fairy tale screenplays of words and make them into motion pictures. Simply put? I either need management or a network of friends, who know someone, or is someone, who could take these scripts and development books... Read them... Fall in love with them... And make them their own. I need to find that person or people, who want to see this Family/Fantasy of Live Action and Animation series go from the screenplays to the motion screen. And it starts with you taking the time to become interested in something that has not yet happened. You reading and asking to see the content I developed: I am a modern day person, who created and is still creating a series of Originally Scripted Grimm Fairy Tales (Never before Seen, Nor heard, Nor told). It's yet to be done, and I have created the blueprints to this world. All that's needed for all this to come true is for YOU to take action. Ask to read the scripts... I mean Doug Jones (Hellboy, Pans Labyrinth) has read them and he can't wait to play the Jester... I mean he's given a verbal. I've flown to LA to hang with him and get to know him... We are now friends... It's wonderful! And you know what? Even if you can help by word of mouth to talk about this project then that can help. All I know is this project now needs YOU. The person, who can take the screenplay ... Read it... Love the visuals and the project as a whole... And reach out to people, who will see this original scripted series of Grimm fairy tales through to be made into a motion picture via TV or Film (Theater). I guess all I'm asking is for your interest and your friendship. I'm certain once you read and seen this world you will fall in love with the series and want to help. Thanks for your time, many hugs, Woody Lindsey https://www.facebook.com/pages/Teller-Of-Tales-A-Fib-Fit-For-A-King/1803...

Hey Woody, sounds like an awesome project. Have you looked into the pitch sessions with the Happy Writers? https://www.stage32.com/happy-writers/pitch-sessions For The Stage 32 Happy Writers pitch sessions, all writers will pitch directly to the executive listed. You will never pitch to anyone other than the executive you signed up for. Additionally, should an executive request your script, The Stage 32 Happy Writers works on your behalf to follow up with the executive who requested the material. Sounds exactly like what you're looking for. All the best to you!

Shannon. Thanks for your insight and connection. I will be looking into this to see how it may further help the project. Thanks so much. I'll be getting back into contact with you shortly. Cheers

Hey Shannon and Colleagues, Yeah I see that... It looks great. But $45 dollars a pop? When I've already spent everything (15K^) on actual development of a project I've been working on for five years (not counting day to day living expenses). I'm literally going broke simply trying to get to a point to pitch. I understand you must spend money to make money ( as I've done this already) or gain information nowadays (sad), but I feel that if I'm about to pitch for their time...idk. Honestly, I am broke and I feel that the time I've spent on my project "Teller Of Tales" ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Teller-Of-Tales-A-Fib-Fit-For-A-King/1803... ) should be seen on atleast an "interest" level. Where for "Free" you can atleast have your project and pitch displayed... So then you get a REQUESTED READ pitch opportunity by the person. Idk.... I'll end up saving my money to start pitching, but I feel like $45 pop is a bit steep simply to acquire an interest to read the script. I'm thinking of paying $85 dollars for the sellascript sight that will send out your pitch to what they say are hundreds of reps. Anyone know about this? Or have you done it? I mean literally... I'm going to do what it takes to get my project out there, but I can see that at $45 dollars a pop for 8 min? Someone is making some serious dough! $300 bucks an hour. Simply to listen to pitches that could make them money anyways. I feel that for people who are poor... Like me... Should have an opportunity to pitch too. Or atleast have an "Interest hour" where they can have their pitch read. But it's all about money, isn't it? Btw... I swear when this is all over and my project gets picked up I'm going to write that autobiography and best seller I always wanted to write. It's called "From Ramen To Riches" and I'm not talking about riches like money, but the experiences I've had on this journey to make this project into a film. Cheers!
